Asian Turkey Burgers
Ingredients
- 1lb lean ground turkey
- 1/4cup finely chopped water chestnuts
- 4medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
- 2tablespoons teriyaki marinade and sauce (from 10-oz bottle)
- 1/8teaspoon pepper
- 4whole wheat hamburger buns
- 8slices cucumber or 4 thin slices red bell pepper
- 4leaves leaf lettuce
Steps
1 Set oven control to broil. In medium bowl, mix turkey, water chestnuts, onions, teriyaki sauce and pepper. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 1/2 inch thick. Place on rack in broiler pan.
2 Broil patties with tops about 6 inches from heat 4 minutes. Turn patties; cook 6 to 8 minutes longer or until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 165°F.
3 Place patties in buns with cucumber slices and lettuce leaves.
